5 Female Rappers You Shouldn’t Sleep On
1. Azealia Banks
Although this Harlem based Interscope Records artist claims she no longer wants to be referred to as a rapper, she definitely DOES rap, and very well. Banks publicly confirmed her bisexuality in February 2012 while stating “I’m not trying to be, like, the bisexual, lesbian rapper. I don’t live on other people’s terms”. Best known for her debut single “212” Banks has used that momentum to propel projects such as her recent 1991 mixtape to the top of the charts and blogosphere. Her facial expressions range from dangerously fierce to adorably cute. I can’t figure out whether Azealia is the most down chick ever or a complete psychopath.
As a bonus I’ve decided to include my personal favorite song by this artist formerly known as Miss Bank$.
