The Game Talks Signing To YMCMB With Birdman On Jesus Piece Outro “Freedom”
Has The Game secretly signed to Birdman‘s YMCMB label? On the outro track from The Game‘s new album Jesus Piece titled “Freedom” the Compton emcee raps about things he witnessed in the studio over the years as an Interscope artist, including his personal experiences being in the studio with Dr. Dre, Eminem, the late D-12 member Proof, Bizarre and more before picking up a call from Birdman mid song possibly talking about where he’s going next after he’s done with Interscope.
The track plays out and during the call Birdman and Game talk about how Jesus Piece is his last album with Interscope before he is free to do what he wants, and in this case, doing what he wants could be signing to Birdman‘s YMCMB. It’s no secret that Birdman has had interest in signing The Game when his deal with Interscope comes to an end when The Game releases Jesus Piece on December 11th. On Game‘s previous effort, The R.E.D. Album, he rapped about Birdman‘s interest in him and spoke about owing his label one more album.
“Either I’m crazy, or the black Slim Shady, or that be the reason that Baby said he would pay me more…but I still owe Jimmy one more album, The best the West has ever seen, no disrespect to Calvin.”
With Jesus Piece being the last album The Game has to release with Interscope and his label freedom steadily approaching, is The Game‘s “Freedom” a hint about what’s next for him? It certainly seems so. Hell, he could have even already signed to Birdman and it’s all hidden under wraps. I guess we’ll soon see.
