MMG Cancel Tour Dates Due To Threats From Gangster Disciples
Rick Ross hit an all time high on Wednesday as his album God Forgives I Don’t was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 55th Grammy Awards. It doesn’t look like Rozay and the rest of MMG have been partying too hard however, as their tour stops in Charlotte and Greensboro, North Carolina, this weekend have been cancelled. Reportedly the shows have been cancelled due to threats from the street gang Gangster Disciples who are displeased with Rick Ross using their six-point star sign on the cover of his Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape that dropped in October as well as him shouting out their leader Larry Hoover on his “B.M.F.” track.
The North Carolina chapter of Gangster Disciples warned the MMG capo about coming to Charlotte and Greensboro in a video released last month. Apparently he and his crew decided to take their threats seriously. The show will not go on, despite local police being adamant that they would ensure safety at the event.
