Drake will star in a commercial set to air during the Superbowl.
Drizzy Drake is no stranger to acting in commercials, the Canadian rapper has a past in advertising for Sprite soft drink, and EA Games‘ Fifa series of video games. Come this February, Drizzy will star in a commercial for popular cable company Time Warner.
Jeffrey Hirsch, executive vice president/chief sales and marketing officer of Time Warner Cable, is keeping creative details about the TV spot under wraps, but says of working with Drake:
“He’s not just a phenomenal performer, but a phenomenal actor. I got to watch him at the shoot, and he can really act. He’s gonna be even bigger for many years to come.”
Drake will also rap live on stage during REVOLT and Time Warner‘s private pre-Superbowl extravaganza, to be held Saturday, Feb. 1st in New York’s Meatpacking District.
It’s unknown how much Aubrey “Drake” Graham will net from this short acting gig, but other 30-second commercials intending to air during the Superbowl in the past have netted celebrities of Drake‘s magnitude upwards of $4 Million.
