The official music video for Hot Rod’s new single “Hot Girl” which features a cameo from 50 Cent. Is this song hot? To me, not at all. But you can definitely see Hot Rod is trying his best at being a pop artist. But is pop really what he should be perusing? Only time will tell, but my opinion is he should have stuck to rapping, even though that wasn’t going the best for him, it was better quality wise than this. And so what his single featuring Mary J. Blige flopped, that still wasn’t a bad song and he could have done something with that if the timing was right.

The sales numbers are in for this past week, and Hits Daily Double is claiming Weezy’s new album has sold 1,000,690 copies this week. This marks the second time Wayne has gone platinum in only a week, the other being 2009′s Tha Carter III.
Update: The official numbers are in, and Billboard is saying C4 did not in fact reach the one million mark. Instead, it moved 946,000 this week. It is still the second biggest week for any album this year, only behind Lady Gaga’s Born This Way which sold 1.1 million.
