Oxygen has reportedly cancelled Shawty Lo‘s controversial reality show before it aired a single episode.
According to The Daily Beast, Oxygen has supposedly responded to the backlash to the show, which focuses on the rapper and his 11 kids by 10 different mothers. The network has yet to confirm the cancellation but the publication claims that sources have revealed it “won’t ever see the light of day.”
A trailer for the show leaked a few weeks back, setting the internet ablaze. Organizers made a petition that quickly reached almost 40,000 signatures, most likely a contribution to the alleged cancellation.

ASAP Rocky made an appearance on Funkmaster Flex’s show alongside his ASAP Mobb to promote his debut album LongLiveASAP in which he and his team freestyle off the top of their heads for about 25 min. I am not a fan of this practice. But to each their own.
Although Kid Cudi has expressed quite a bit of negativity about his music career and record label lately, it appears his acting career is headed in the right direction.
According to Hollywood Reporter Scott Mescudi has joined the cast of DreamWorks‘ movie Need for Speed based on the popular video game. This isn’t the first time the “Day ‘N’ Nite” rapper has tried his hand at acting. He recently played Domingo Brown in the unfortunately slept on and cancelled show How To Make It In America.
DreamWorks plans on basing the film around 1970s car culture. It is set to feature Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul, who plays a street racer that joins a New York-to-Los Angeles race to avenge the death of his friend. Cudi plays a member of Paul’s crew.
Need for Speed is expected to his theaters on Valentine’s Day of next year.
