Limp Bizkit recently signed to Birdman’s Cash Money Records and the group will soon release their first single, featuring Lil Wayne. Birdman caught up with Billboard and talked about the group joining his Cash Money label.
“If we find some great talent, we’re gonna embrace it,” says Birdman. “Limp Bizkit, to me, is just a perfect match for us… It was something that [Fred Durst] was interested in doing, and I was already a fan, and I was like, ‘Let’s do it.’ It’s good for the brand, it will bring a different look for us, and we’re definitely trying to expand on that side of music.”
Birdman also gave some details about the single which you can expect to hit the internet soon, which he says was recorded the week after the Grammys. Birdman also reveals that there is already plans for a video.
“We’ll shoot the video with Wayne, and they’re already in the studio working in Australia,” says Birdman. “They’re just gonna go in and get it done. We’re looking to put an album out this year, but right now we’re dropping the single with him and Wayne, and we’re gonna vibe from there. Fred’s all the way in — he understands what we’re about, hard work and dedication. To me, they’re one of the hardest workers in the business.”
