48 hours after one of J. Cole’s favorite MC’s (Canibus) dissed him in a song titled “J. Clone”, Canibus is retracting everything said in the diss song and apologizing to J. Cole for the foolishness of the diss. Below is a transcript of what Canibus says in the poorly edited visual diss retract which was originally posted to Youtube.

What’s up Y’all, I see thousands and thousands of comments about this J. Cole track and the negativity it’s stirring up and after forty eight hours of it, I think it’s unanimous. Hip Hop has spoken up loud and clear. It’s a “Cole World” right now and you’re the reigning champ, J. I take full responsibility for my actions and I apologize for stepping over the line. It comes off as tacky and unsophisticated and it’s just not G with all the negativity it was stirring up. I love Hip Hop too much to further justify my selfish behavior.

I made this video in an attempt to turn it around and man up for my mistake. You said you were a fan of mine at one time and you bigged me up on many occasions. You don’t owe me nothing, J. I was out of line for what I did and I’m sorry for creating the fiasco at the time where Hip Hop really needs somebody like you to look up to. Keep toting that line and spitting them dope rhymes.

You got my support, I just hope the Hip Hop community can get past this quickly and go back to what satisfies them and makes them happy. I’m not a hater I just went too far and I hope Hip Hop can forgive me for my foolishness. I’m going to go sit my old ass down somewhere now. Happy Holidays, man. It’s a Cole World, Kid.

Canibus was mentioned by J. Cole last year in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid.  In the interview J. Cole stated that he in fact was a fan of Canibus and even as a kid had Bis’ rhymes posted to his wall in his bedroom.  It’s also been mentioned to me by J. Cole fans that Cole at his live shows played Canibus older material to the crowds, showing them that he is a fan of Canibus.
