Chief Keef has reportedly been dropped from Interscope Records. A source told AllHipHop that Chief Keef was released due to issues involved with the handling and release of his upcoming album, as well as the direction of his career. Chief Keef and his team began to get the ball rolling on his album, in an attempt to finally get it out to the masses, but Interscrope Records showed no interest in it.
In 2012 Chief Keef signed to Interscope and released his debut album Finally Rich. Since it’s release, the album has only managed to sell under 200,000 copies.
Chief Keef‘s upcoming project Back From The Dead 2 was placed on iTunes for pre-order last night. Interscope Records isn’t listed as the label. Instead, Glo Gang/GBE is listed as his label.
Chief Keef confirmed he was dropped from Interscope on Twitter.
