Donald Glover aka rapper Childish Gambino is finally going to play Spider-Man.

Before Sony rebooted their beloved Spider-Man film franchise with The Amazing Spider-Man, actor Donald Glover made it be known through social media that he wanted to play Spider-Man in the reboot. While that didn’t happen, and Andrew Garfield ended up getting the role as Peter Parker, Donald, now more popularly known to the masses by his rap name Childish Gambino, will get his chance to play the iconic Marvel superhero. Childish Gambino won’t have to wear any tight costumes niether, as he will only be using his voice for the role.

In the upcoming episode of the Ultimate Spider-Man animated television show set to air on Disney XD this Sunday, Childish Gambino will play Miles Morales, the half-black, half-Hispanic Spider-Man introduced in the Ultimate Spider-Man Universe over the last few years. Miles Morales was directly created and inspired by Donald‘s interest in being Spider-Man.
