Dr. Dre Scraps Detox, Reveals New Album Compton: The Soundtrack

Moments ago on Dr. Dre‘s Beats 1 radio show The Pharmacy he revealed his new album titled Compton: The Soundtrack will release on August 7th. Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Xzibit, King Mez, The Game and many more of Dr. Dre‘s good friends are appearing on it. On The Pharmacy it was also revealed that this is in fact Dr. Dre‘s last album, and Detox is scrapped with Compton taking it’s place. The album will be available first exclusively on Apple Music. When speaking on Compton: The Soundtrack, Dr. Dre says he was inspired to record the album while on set of the upcoming NWA biopic, Straight Outta Compton.
