The first week sales figures for Eminem‘s new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 are in. The Detroit emcee managed to sell 779,577 copies of his critically acclaimed revisit of his personal highest selling album to date. Marshall didn’t quite go “emerald” (yet) like he joked about doing on the new LP, but the numbers are still high and it will secure him that #1 spot. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is now also the second highest selling album of 2013, and Slim Shady will soon be receiving a platinum plaque. Let’s hope the frame isn’t cracked, so he can hang it up.
