Last night at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey, Hot 97 held their annual Summer Jam concert as promised and on stage for Summer Jam 2012 came live performances from Slaughterhouse, Maino, Tyga, Waka Flocka, Slaughterhouse, Wale, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Big Sean, T.I., Ne-Yo, Mase, French Montana, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Method Man and Raekwon.

Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Young Money were also set to perform, but due to some controversy regarding Hot 97‘s Peter Rosenberg getting on stage and making comments about Nicki Minaj‘s single “Starships” not being real Hip Hop and what the event is about, Lil Wayne cancelled their appearances, tweeting that “Young Money ain’t doin’ Summer Jam”. Nicki Minaj‘s set which was set to have surprises from Weezy, Cam’ron, 2 Chainz, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Beenie Man, Foxy Brown, Birdman, Tyga, Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda. Some of Nicki‘s surprise guests still hit the stage and showed love, but Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and all the other members of Young Money that were set to surprise the crowd also no-showed after what Peter Rosenberg hit the stage and said. Nicki Minaj fired off some tweets of her own about Hot 97‘s professionalism.
