Kanye West & Kid Cudi Working Are Up To Something
Kanye West and Kid Cudi visited world-renowned artist Takashi Murakami in Japan. He shared a photo with the two “Welcome To Heartbreak” artists on Instagram. They’re all visually pleased about something and have a smile on their faces. Could this have just just been a friendly visit to Japan? Or is Takashi Murakami providing art for something the two have been working on?
Musically, Kanye West and Kid Cudi are a dynamic duo and just seeing them together lets me know the creative juices are flowing.
Takashi Murakami is known for Kanye West’s most popular album to date, Graduation. He provided the vibrant art for the album packaging. They’re celebrating first meeting 10 years ago. It would be super dope to know that Takashi Murakami created artwork for the mysterious project Kanye West has been “holed up” in studios making.
Other recent images posted to Takashi Murakami’s Instagram account include studio equipment. Did Kanye West and Kid Cudi record new music at Takashi’s studio? The photos were posted just hours before the photo with Kanye and Cudi. A coincidence? I believe not.
Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Takashi Murakami gotta be up to something. If this is all connected, it makes me a happy camper. I can only imagine what the meeting inspired.
UPDATE: Coodie Rock uploaded another photo with Ye, Cudi, and Takashi teasing a December 31st date with the hashtags #EverybodyWins and #GodIsGreat.
UPDATE: Page Six confirmed that Kanye West and Kid Cudi are ineed working on a new collaborative project and recording new material in Japan. As expected, the two did record while in the presence of Takashi Murakami. A source revealed to Page Six, “they’re going to drop some crazy collaboration out of the blue. They’re recording it right now.”
Stay tuned for more from Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
