A week has passed and the official sales figures for Kanye West‘s Yeezus, J. Cole‘s Born Sinner and Mac Miller‘s Watching Movies With The Sound Off have arrived. Who came out of the June 18th battle on top? Kanye West, but not by much. According to HDD, Kanye managed to sell 328,800 copies, while J. Cole was right on his ass with 297,922 total album’s sold. Mac Miller wasn’t too far behind neither, moving 101,795 copies of his indie disc.
Kanye West‘s previous solo album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sold 496,000 in it’s first week out, while J. Cole‘s previous album Cole World: The Sideline Story managed to move 217,825 copies first week. Mac Miller moved 145,000 copies of his Blue Slide Park album in it’s first week. J. Cole‘s sales increased since previous efforts, while Kanye West and Mac Miller‘s figures actually decreased. So who is the real winner here?
