While discussing his art at Art Basel Miami, Kanye West let some details slide about his upcoming Yeezus follow up. The project which is said to be executive produced by Q-Tip and Rick Rubin could feature only 8 songs.

I think my next album is going to be eight songs. It’s just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can’t take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn’t made Yeezus, I wouldn’t be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here.”

Kanye‘s next album is currently being recorded, but it’s unknown when it will release. Ye said in recent interviews that he’d like the project out before Summer.

Mr. West has also been in the studio recently recording remixes with Miley Cyrus for a supposed EP, but it’s unknown if the extended play will be scrapped for what he’s now calling an album.

Kanye West is currently on tour with Kendrick Lamar and it’s recent stop in KS only managed to fill 4,000 of 19,000 seats.
