In the upcoming March 2011 issue of DETAILS magazine, Saki Knafo scribes a great write up on the Laser himself, Lupe Fiasco. In the article, Fiasco explains what went on during his absence involving his third studio LP, Lasers, and the conflict(s) he and his label were faced with.

… when Fiasco submitted his first Lasers tracks two and a half years ago, his label, Atlantic, rejected them as not commercial enough, according to Darrale Jones, his A&R rep. “I don’t know how to do what Kanye does,” Fiasco says matter-of-factly. “I don’t have that Midas touch.”
