Back in 2010, singer Ryan Leslie had offered $1 Million dollars for the return of his laptop after it was stolen in Europe. The lost equipment was then later recovered by a man in Germany who looked to cash in on the generous finder’s fee. Once returned, Leslie refused to pay the funds in argument that the music files (which were invaluable to him and the true reason he offered up such a pretty penny), were no longer present.

A judge later ruled that Leslie had to pay his reward anyways, much to the dismay of the NYC artist. The NY Post reports that Leslie only paid $5,000 of the $1 Million dollar order, and as such has had his fully loaded Cadillac Escalade seized by the New York City marshals. The vehicle was pulled back on August 8th and is set to go on auction September 9th.
