Did Suge Knight Intentionally Kill His Friend Terry Carter?
Yesterday Suge Knight got into a fight on the set of a film in Compton, California that left one man dead. According to sources, Suge Knight ran over Terry Carter, his own friend, after trying to escape the fight. Suge got into his vehicle after fighting off 2 men, including actor Cle “Bone” Sloane from Training Day. Terry Carter died after CPR was unsuccessful, from injuries sustained from being ran over.
The local Sheriff’s department put out a bulletin in Southern California saying be on the lookout for Suge Knight, who was wanted for questioning in the murder of Terry Carter. Suge was listed as armed and dangerous.
Suge Knight later turned himself in and after questioning from police, his bail is set at $2 million.
At a press conference, police revealed that there were 2 fights. The first fight went down on the movie set, and the second outside of a local burger spot. Cops say witnesses on location saw Suge Knight back his vehicle up and run over the victim twice before fleeing the scene. The victim originally pulled up with Suge. Police say a total of 3 men were struck by Suge Knight‘s vehicle.
Police believe Suge Knight did not intentionally run over his friend Terry Carter, but did intend to run someone else over, and that’s enough to charge him with murder.
TMZ says beef between Dr. Dre and Suge Knight caused the fatal hit and run that left Terry Carter dead. According to their sources, Suge Knight was lured to a film set in Compton to broker peace with Dre. They were filming a commercial for Straight Outta Compton, the upcoming NWA biopic, and on set Suge got into a shoving match with Dr. Dre‘s security. Off-duty police officers saw the altercation, and ordered Suge Knight to leave the set.
Terry Carter later called Suge and said Dr. Dre was going to be at another location to make peace. Suge Knight then went to the location with Terry Carter, and that’s where Terry died after being ran over by Suge‘s vehicle.
Suge‘s representatives say they can easily prove that Terry Carter made the call to Suge Knight.
