While on set of 50 Cent‘s new video featuring Kendrick Lamar and Kidd Kidd, Tony Yayo took a moment of his time to talk to MTV about a possible G-Unit Reunion and said the reason he believes the Unit fell apart was because money made them grow egos and grow apart. Yayo also says they were all better together when they were broke and once The Game sold 5 Million albums, it was suddenly “G-Unot.” Interesting.
You know what’s crazy? It’s like when we didn’t have any money, things were better. When everybody got money, it’s like things just went downhill, so it’s like, I dunno, egos. I would love to see a G-Unit reunion. I would love to see me, Banks and 50 definitely onstage.
My problem with [Game] is that once he got to the point where he wanted to be, when he sold 5 million records, it was G-Unot. So it’s like why would you want a reunion now if you want to be the guy to bring down the brand and the name.”
