Travis Scott links up with ASAP Ferg to release his 8-minute self-directed video for their collaboration “Uptown.” The record is produced by Wondagurl and appears on Travis Scott‘s Owl Pharaoh mixtape, which you can download for free here.

The video is strange to say the least. Travis is known for being obscure and unfortunately, it doesn’t always make sense. While I actually enjoy this song I can’t help but think the video takes away from the track itself and the many interruptions made it difficult to sit through. There’s also one part in the video that is eerie alike to a scene near the end of Kanye West‘s Spike Jonze-directed short film, “We Were Once a Fairytale,” where Travis is in the washroom, rinsing his face.

Overall, the concept of the video could have been cool had the execution not swayed so much. Check it out and let us know what YOU think in the comments.
