Young Thug’s Carter 6 Is Officially Dropping Before Lil Wayne’s Carter 5

Tonight Young Thug took to his Instagram account to announce the official release date for Carter 6 and reveal it’s official cover artwork. The album which is a sequel to Lil Wayne‘s unreleased Tha Carter 5 is dropping on April 17th. Details about the album’s release are scarce, and it’s currently unknown if it will be released physically. Chances are it will only find a digital release.

Take a look at the cover artwork for Carter 6 above featuring a half nude Young Thug standing in front of a red backdrop wearing a red bandana. It’s almost as if the cover represents him taking Lil Wayne‘s spotlight. It will be interesting to see how Weezy reacts to this. That Cash Money drama is about to get a whole lot uglier.
